Last month a stunning new Srixon Centre of Excellence and custom club fitting facility was opened at The Hertsmere.
The new centre is part of a recent refurbishment of The Hertsmere’s facilities and an ongoing mission to make excellent golf facilities accessible to everyone. Anyone can book a session in the new Srixon centre.
A new era
The opening ceremony marked the beginning of a new era for The Hertsmere which aims to deliver high quality, grass roots golf in an accessible and engaging way. The ceremony itself was attended by Ryan Fox (Srixon sponsored Tournament Professional), Andrew Murray (PGA professional and director of Andrew Murray Golf Ltd and Former European Open Champion), Sean Hanafusa (General Manager Srixon), Stuart Ritchie (Director Hertsmere Golf Limited) and Lionel Carron (Head of Marketing Srixon Europe).
After the opening ceremony, Ryan Fox gave an impressive demonstration of his powerful ball striking capability. Ryan finished in the top 5 at the BetFred British Masters at The Belfry this year where he qualified for the US PGA Major Golf tournament.
State of the art facilities
The new state of the art facilities located within the driving range include a GCQuad launch monitor and FSXPro software, the world’s most advanced golf launch monitor, delivering unprecedented ball and club performance data with advanced imaging technology to ensure your fitting experience is second to none.
The GCQuad uses four ultra-high-speed cameras to track and measure the exact movement of a golf ball and club head, to help you tune your swing with the help of a Pro. The GCQuad works with every club from putter to lob wedge and driver and on every shot and the system can also be used for coaching sessions, gap analysis, distance control, and club optimisation.
