Young Golfing Prospect Signs with The Hertsmere!

We are delighted to welcome Joshua Grenville-Wood as our first Professional Ambassador.

Joshua is a member of the Asian Tour and is mainly based in Dubai, but when here in Europe, he plays and practices at The Hertsmere.

“I’m excited to join the team at The Hertsmere. It’s a forward thinking modern day golf facility for all ages and abilities. I particularly enjoy the golf course, it’s tight and challenging in places, but fair and playable! When I’m not on the course, I use the TopTracer range to calibrate my distances and spend time on my game.”

You can read more about Joshua by visiting his website.

We wish him luck over the coming months and look out for him when your next at The Hertsmere; you might even come across his name on the Leaderboards!

New Driving Range Wins Prestigious Award  At The Hertsmere

The recently refurbished driving range at The Hertsmere has won the inaugural Toptracer Range ‘Top Appearance Award’ for 2022. The Hertsmere’s fully refurbished, stunning 26 bay driving range comes with state-of-the-art Toptracer Range technology in each bay and offers an incredible and interactive experience.

The Toptracer technology has transformed the golf driving range experience with ball tracking graphics of every shot to your own personal monitor in your own bay so you can see how far you are hitting your Irons or what’s going on with your swing. You can also download the Toptracer App and get your stats on your smart phone from your sessions at the range or play a virtual round of golf on some of the world’s most iconic courses right from your bay. The technology is also fun with Toptracer games like Longest Drive and Nearest the Pin.

The new driving range is part of the stunning refurbishment of The Hertsmere facilities earlier this year and the range now also includes a new Srixon Centre of Excellence, indoor golf simulator, club fitting and a smart new look.

The awards, held earlier this year, are part of the first Toptracer Range Awards programme designed to recognise and award Toptracer ranges in Europe. The team at The Hertsmere are delighted that all their hard work on the new driving range has been recognised and are looking forward to welcoming new and experienced golfers alike to come and give it a go.

New Indoor Golf Simulator At the Hertsmere

Golfers and would be golfers in north west London and Hertfordshire can now take advantage of a new indoor golf simulator at The Hertsmere.

The high-tech system enables you to practice golf indoors in a virtually simulated golf environment. The computerised golf setup designed to mimic the real game, helps you analyse your swing, and improve your game as well as meaning you can enjoy a game of golf, even if it’s pouring outside.

Ideal for any player at any level, the new simulator at The Hertsmere also allows you to play on some of the world’s most elite courses including:

• St Andrews Old Course, the venue for this year’s 150th Open Championship,
• Merion Golf Club where Justin Rose won the US Open in 2013,
• Real Club Valderama where Steve Ballesteros European Ryder Cup team beat the USA a in 1997.

Alternatively players can practice a mixture of par three holes or take part in friendly competitions like the longest drive or nearest the pin on a hole.

The new simulator is part of a number of new facilities recently opened at The Hertsmere, including a new Srixon Centre of Excellence, custom ball and club fitting facility and a refurbished and award winning 26 bay driving range. All the facilities are part of The Hertsmere’s ongoing mission to make excellent golf facilities accessible to everyone, regardless of budget or ability.

New Srixon Centre of Golf Excellence Opens at The Hertsmere

Last month a stunning new Srixon Centre of Excellence and custom club fitting facility was opened at The Hertsmere.

The new centre is part of a recent refurbishment of The Hertsmere’s facilities and an ongoing mission to make excellent golf facilities accessible to everyone. Anyone can book a session in the new Srixon centre.

A new era

The opening ceremony marked the beginning of a new era for The Hertsmere which aims to deliver high quality, grass roots golf in an accessible and engaging way. The ceremony itself was attended by Ryan Fox (Srixon sponsored Tournament Professional), Andrew Murray (PGA professional and director of Andrew Murray Golf Ltd and Former European Open Champion), Sean Hanafusa (General Manager Srixon), Stuart Ritchie (Director Hertsmere Golf Limited) and Lionel Carron (Head of Marketing Srixon Europe).

After the opening ceremony, Ryan Fox gave an impressive demonstration of his powerful ball striking capability. Ryan finished in the top 5 at the BetFred British Masters at The Belfry this year where he qualified for the US PGA Major Golf tournament.

State of the art facilities

The new state of the art facilities located within the driving range include a GCQuad launch monitor and FSXPro software, the world’s most advanced golf launch monitor, delivering unprecedented ball and club performance data with advanced imaging technology to ensure your fitting experience is second to none.

The GCQuad uses four ultra-high-speed cameras to track and measure the exact movement of a golf ball and club head, to help you tune your swing with the help of a Pro. The GCQuad works with every club from putter to lob wedge and driver and on every shot and the system can also be used for coaching sessions, gap analysis, distance control, and club optimisation.
