    The Role

    Our PGA Teaching Professional will deliver exceptional coaching to golfers of all ages and abilities, helping every player improve, enjoy the game more, and achieve their individual goals. This is a hands-on coaching role focused on building a thriving coaching diary, delivering high-quality lessons, and supporting the continued growth of our Academy.

    Working as part of a collaborative Academy and Golf Operations team, the successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the on-range experience, developing junior and adult programmes, and helping us maximise the value of our state-of-the-art coaching facilities, including our Toptracer driving range and GC Quad analysis suites.

    Join The Hertsmere as a PGA Qualified Teaching Professional

    The Hertsmere, a premier golf and hospitality venue in south Hertfordshire, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic PGA-qualified Professional to join our Academy Team. This role is ideally suited to a highly motivated individual, well versed in modern coaching methods, with demonstratable success at building a strong client base, and the ability to support revenue lines across the business. Our facility boasts a picturesque 18-hole golf course, a state-of-the-art 26-bay driving range powered by Toptracer technology, and short-game practice areas, alongside the stylish Script: Restaurant and Bar, providing an exceptional environment for golfers of all levels. There are exciting plans to extend and improve the facilities even further over the coming years, starting in 2025.

    Our very busy Toptracer range sees more than 4.2 million ball strikes and 50,000 individual practice sessions, providing a huge opportunity to grow a very successful coaching business!

    Position: PGA Teaching Professional

    Responsibilities You Will Have:

    • Deliver high-quality individual and group coaching sessions to golfers of all ages and abilities.
    • Assist in developing training programs to help clients achieve their golfing goals.
    • Utilise advanced coaching technologies, including Toptracer and GC Quad, to provide in-depth analysis and feedback.
    • Deliver custom fitting sessions and sales through the on-site Srixon Performance Centre.
    • Organise and lead golf clinics, workshops, and junior development programs.
    • Maintain accurate records of clients’ progress and provide ongoing support and motivation.
    • Collaborate with the Academy Team and the Director of Golf to enhance and expand our coaching offerings.
    • Be an ambassador for all the facilities at The Hertsmere and support all departments in the delivery of agreed business goals.

    Qualifications and Personal Traits We Are Looking For:

    • PGA Professional qualification.
    • Full access to a very busy Toptracer driving range and customer base.
    • Proven experience coaching golfers across various skill levels.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
    • An obvious passion for golf and infectious positivity.
    • High levels of self-motivation, and an eagerness for self-improvement and amenable to different cultures.
    • Familiarity with modern coaching technologies and methodologies.
    • A strong understanding of customer service, business objectives and cross-departmental collaboration.

    About the Role
    As a Chef de Partie at The Hertsmere, you will play an integral part in delivering high-quality food across our restaurant and hospitality operations. You’ll oversee your own section of the kitchen, preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to our exacting standards while helping maintain smooth service flow and food safety excellence

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare, cook and present menu items consistently to high standards.
    • Run a designated section of the kitchen effectively and efficiently.
    • Support the Head Chef and Sous Chefs in menu delivery, recipe execution and portion control.
    • Maintain excellent standards of food hygiene and health & safety at all times.
    • Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff where appropriate.

    About You – What We’re Looking For

    • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie in a busy kitchen (hotel, restaurant or leisure environment).
    • Strong culinary skills and knowledge of modern food preparation and presentation.
    • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work well under pressure.
    • A positive, team-orientated approach and a passion for high-quality food.
    • A recognised food hygiene qualification (e.g., Food Safety Level 2) is desirable.
